This light, crisp and clean Golden ale delivers a moderate bitterness and balanced maltiness giving slight grainy and bready flavours, topped with gentle hop notes of citrus fruits.

Cask handpull at Famous Royal Navy Volunteer Bristol. Clear amber colour lasting bubbly white head. Bitter aroma. I would say English hops. Some malt some biscuit some English hops. Hedgerow finish. Good condition lovely English bitter. Nettle bitter finish.

Cask at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a murky orange-brown with a small off-white head and good lacing. There’s malts and nuts in the aroma plus some hints of oranges. In the mouth it is thin and almost tasteless. There’s a little sweetness and malts at the start and some nutty bitterness later on, but that’s about it. Flat and watery – almost certainly the worst Marble beer I’ve ever drunk.

Cask at the Waterloo Tap, 17/07/24. Almost clear golden topped with a lasting just off white head ... lacing ensues. Nose is mellow citric zest, grass, straw, lemon rind, herb. Taste comprises orange peel, citric tinged straw, grass, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow hop bitterness. Tidy enough Golde ... perhaps I expected more from Marble.

Hand-pulled half-pint at the Wrekin Inn on Sunday afternoon, 19th May 2024. Clean and clear golden body, white crown. Pleasant blend of light malts and citrusy hops, subtle and easy to drink, but so like hundreds of similar beers at the moment.

(Cask at Harp, London, 17 Nov 2023) Golden colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with citrus, orange and peaches. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, peaches, grass, leafy hops and a mild citric/grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Refreshing. Quite nice.
