Cask@HBF2016. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, some floral and wooden notes with mild toffee. Flavour is quite similar with a slight nutty edge to it. Refreshing, and quaffable.

Medium off-white head, fed by very lively carbonated orangeish golden, clear beer; end of bottle a little yeastveil. Spices/hers nose, veyr nicely, but impossible to determinte which kitchen herbs. Tad of caramel. Hoppy, C-hops - passion fruit, not very British. Bit grapey too. Very fruity, and a bit of malts. MF is very British: just not empty. Bit onedimensional, but I suppose that it must be a very good session ale on cask. Txs to Stef!

500ml Bottle: BBD Apr 14, poured into an ’Old Speckled Hen’ badged pint vase at home on 16th Nov 13 having just got in from watching Grimsby Town win away at Tamworth. As the name might suggest, this is a golden coloured beer, the white head disappeared into a weak wisp within 30 seconds and a thin collar not much longer, not good in my eyes. Lemon notes in the nose, more so in the taste: a bit one dimensional and not really my thing, refreshing enough, but not exciting enough to make my taste buds ache for another sip, had trouble finishing the whole bottle to be honest, but this was my lining for the evening before the heavier stuff got opened. Almost got the evening off to a bad start, I’ll not be seeking out this beer again.

500ml bottle. Golden amber colour, thin white head and aroma of malt, grain, spicey & juicy orange. Taste is pale malt, caramel with tangy citrus orange notes and a light hop bitterness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, light bodied, medium carbonation, biscuity dry light bitter finish. Quite OK.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s Murrayfield [061013]
Light orange amber, hazy, thin white head that dissipates to a rim
Aroma - very light citrus, some soft sour lemon, touch of sweet cereal malt
Taste of soft sweet cereal malts, hint of lemon citrus hops, some sour lemon, getting a dab of berry fruits which is a bit unusual
Palate - Very soft carb, medium body, bit oily. Slight sour, light sweet malt palate. Finish - getting some buttery biscuit malts, slightly dry finish
Overall - Not undrinkable, but nothing like the description....some faults in here - seems to be on the turn....just very average
