Tree of Possibility is a pure barrel-aged barleywine primarily showcasing several standout barrels that have been aged for over two years while also weaving in a small portion of barleywine aged for 12 months from select bourbon barrels.
The beer, the wood, and time itself have given us a wonderfully complex and full-bodied beer overflowing with character. We taste and smell rich caramel, maple brown sugar, and warming yet restrained barrel heat, with underlying notes of exotic fruit leather, smoky tobacco, and dark chocolate.
Life, much like the intricate blend of flavors in this barleywine, is a dance of evolving elements, constantly unfolding. Every season brings its symphony, and each moment holds the potential for new possibilities. Just as the Tree of Possibility has been nurtured by time, yielding a brew rich in character and depth, our own lives, too, are canvases of experiences, emotions, and growth. The beauty lies in embracing the ever-changing narrative, cherishing each nuance, and stepping into the realm of what could be.

Bottle at home. Opaque dark brown to black color, virtually no head. Aroma and flavor are malts, sticky toffee notes, a distant coffee hint, a distant chocolate hint, raisins lightly, brown candy sugar, boozy, soy sauce. Thick texture, very viscous, soft carbonation. Pretty nice.

Bottle. Poured dark cola color with a small tan head. Aroma was figgy, light herbal note. Light roast, alcohol. Fudgy chocolate, light wood, mild oak. Touch of vanilla. Caramel. Really nice stuff.

500mL bottle, drunk 11/11/23. Deep amber. Sweet, some light whiskey but mostly sweet sugar. Sugary, caramel and toffee, vanilla and very minor brown sugar and barrel. This is pure BA? Doesn't seem like it. Doesn't seem like much other than intense caramel sugar. Disappointing for $25.

500 ml shared by ClarkVV. Thank you! Aroma has toffee, chocolate, mild bourbon. Flavor leans on the sweet side with rich caramel, vanilla, and figs. I don’t get a ton of barrel or bourbon here. They claim a grandiose blending, which is kind of hard to find here.
