Though ravens, crows, and magpies are considered bad luck in many cultures, we celebrate them and their place in Mayan mythology with this new spin on a CCB classic. Think of it as a familiar relative to a Hero Twin, and consider yourself lucky.

500 ml bottle thanks to Tj. Aroma shows moderate chili pepper, vanilla and light apple. Vanilla, and chocolate upfront with a decent spicy pepper finish. Body is again a touch thin but nicely dry without any excess sugar. Good!

500mL 2021 bottle #1990, shared by TJ on 10/20/23. Mahogany-magenta-ruby. Clear? No head. Boozier than the brandy version of this Huna-adjacent beer. Some Applejack, lots of pepper, cacao, vanilla, less cinnamon. Not boozey, but some light alcohol. Chocolate, big black pepper, luscious apple jack and good chocolate. Great attenuation. Medium body, but not as thick as the new breed of stout. Drying finish of mellowed adjunct, pepper and barrel. I assume this is reject barrel Huna, but it's still very well-done.

Bottle 1990 aroma is applejack, cinnamon, cake batter. Taste is nice, applejack, pepper, cinnamon on the finish. Smooth, nice sipper.

Bottle. Pours typical CCB impy; oily black and viscous with a dark brown head and good lacing. Aroma is complex, notes of Mexican cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, brandy. Flavor is pretty sweet with a light chili burn and light bitterness.
