Beer # 14,999…. 500 ml bottle form our membership. #49/660.Aroma is Heaven Hill, raisins, toffee. The flavor is extremely well integrated with Heaven Hill, English toffee, raisins. Slick oily mouthfeel with very little alcohol warmth. Numbered #1714/1800. Flavor is strong bourbon, toffee, raisins, prune, various dark fruit, caramel. 15% is mellow. Doesn’t slap you in the face. Real nice.

Bottle pour with the membership group. Murky dark brown, decent viscosity, thin covering of head and no lacing. Aroma is nice bourbon and sweet malts, mild fruit. Taste is strong bourbon, sweet malts, caramel. Smooth, rich, soft carbonation, no sign of alcohol. Not super complex but the balance is exquisite.

Bottled 5/31/22, drunk 4/12/24, #49/660. Clear, dark mahogany. Small ring of bubbles. Big bourbon nose with toffee, big coconut tannin and big oak. Some light raisin and cherry with seemingly well-attenuated malts. No booze. Cherry, chocolate, fig, raisin, spice galore. Big maltiness and rich, sweet flavors with balanced bourbon on the finish. No alcohol. And here I thought the nose was kind of subdued. This is anything but. Explosive fruit, malt, bourbon spice with finesse and almost no alcohol warming somehow. Lingering cherry, vanilla and spice. Perfectly malty and attenuated.
49/660 5/31/23 aroma is delicious. Chocolate, oak, toffee, caramel. Flavors blended wonderfully. This is a great sipper. Wish I had more.

On tap at Novare Res. Pours black. Bourbon, oily bourbon, vanilla, roast, toffee, intense caramelly nut brittle. Thick oily body. Very good.
