Just as Maine’s pristine fresh waters make for great beer, Maine’s salt waters make for some of the very best oysters. With thousands of miles of coastline and proud seafood heritage, Maine is at the fore of oyster farming: a sustainable, restorative way of producing delicious food with an unparalleled taste of place. For this stout, we partnered with Love Point Oysters—one of the more than 150 farms in Maine that stand as sentinel stewards of our environment.

Excellent kölsch, grainy and slightly sweet yet also clean and crisp, with a hint of lemon candy and apple and a clear, floral finish. Tasty.

5 oz draft. Thirsty Moose, Exeter. Classic rendition of a style. Aroma of Apple, and soft honey like mall. Flavor has weak mineral Contant with a very mild herbal finish. Not sure how old the keg is but hop profile is subtle.

Poured up on tap at Tipsy Cactus where it exhibits a clear pale gold body that supports a thin white head of foam. The modest aroma is mostly fruity apple and pear esters followed by a sense of malts. The taste delivers similar notes with sweet apple and pear fruity esters and then a yeast note as well as vague hop bitterness. Not a good example of the style as it needs to be cleaner and crisper. As is it's somewhat muddled.

Pours clear gold into a stang. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving trailing sheets. Citrus, grass and hay aromas. Crisp with sweet hay, meadow and mild citrus upfront turning to mild earthy pith in the medium length finish.

Bottled March 22, 2024, drunk April 7, 2024. Clear, bright, burnished brass with a large, snow white head that's well-retained. Fairly assertive hopping with some actual lol sch yeast and rich, biscuit and honey-like malt. Pretty robust example. Clean. Medium-bodied, a bit waxy which is true to style. Heavily hopped. A bit much there, though the hops are enjoyable. Paper, cracker, yellow fruit and hop bitterness on the finish. Clean and no chalky hop or off-notes.
