Hazy amber and dull. Medium head. The nose is heavily toasty. Med body, thin body, lots of toasty = old school amber lager.

Bottle. Pours with a hazed deep brown hued body with a creamy tan head. Aromas are of toasty, nutty, biscuity, deep malt tones, light sulfur, clean fermentation, a slight floral hop note, raisin bread. Flavors are bready, dry, medium-balanced bitter, raisin bread, toasty, raisin bran cereal. Clean, medium bodied, toasty, very light roast. Fuller carbonation.

Dark brown coloured body with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts, pears, apples, caramel and quite a bit of vanilla. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive peanut and hazelnut flavour throughout with a little emphasis on the roasted malt and the caramel sweetness. No hops at all to speak of. Aftertaste is a good showing of the nuts and sweetness with not much malt nor vanilla popping through at all. Overall, a nice dunkles with some solid sweetness, but a lot of nutty flavours as well. I sampled this pint on draught at a bar in Littleton, Colorado on 06-June-2014 with haddon90!
