Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is toasted, some mild roasted and chocolaty tones with mild spiciness as well as some liquorice and mild dried fruits. Flavour is dried fruits, some chocolaty tones with mild roasted toasted and mild sweet dried fruity tones. Alcohol also showing a bit. Funny chantarelle-liquorice tones in the finish.

Bottled. Viscous black, minimal dark brown head. Treacle, licorice and oak meets intense boozy alcohol in the nose. Very sweet with full to massive body, Treacle and soy sauce dominates, but there are lots of oak, caramel and milk chocolate as well. Very bitter finish with super intense alcohol. Drinks bigger than 14%, leaning towards SA Triple Bock.

500mL bottle, #1099/200, drunk 2/10/24. Inky maroon-mahogany. No head. Lottttta barrel, still some heat, sharp alcohol cutting the choco-caramel maltiness. Raisin, prune, vanilla, mild spice. Nice and dry, spicy, oaky, light vanilla and prune. Maybe a bit thinned by the barrel. Chocolate and light cigar lingering. Pretty tannic, though pretty good malt. But I wish it was just a bit maltier. Not boozey despite the intense nose.

500 ml bottle. 1255/ 2000. Aroma is oak, spice, chocolate. The flavor is the same and ridiculously smooth! Very little alcohol noticeable. Gosh damn that is great!

Bottle 1255/2000 10/29/20 split 2 ways. Aroma is dark chocolate, tobacco, bourbon. Oily slick mouthfeel. Wonderful brew like old school Cigar City.

Bottle. Pours inky black, small brown head, some lacing. Aroma is molasses, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, oak tannin. Flavor is sweet, medium bitter. Classic ccb profile, no adjuncts to fuck it up. Full body, creamy. Excellent.
