Coolship La Vigne Blanc marries our spontaneously fermented ale with Maine-grown Brianna grapes, a variety renowned equally for its high quality and its hardiness in northern climates. After spending two years in French oak wine barrels, the beer was aged on these white wine grapes for four weeks, lending a bouquet of flavors—including notes of stone fruit, pineapple, honey, and caramel—to the beer’s light touches of minerality and tartness.

Grains: Pilsner Malt, Raw Wheat

Lime and bretta and a little bread yeastiness. Hazy golden pour. Tart finish. Not a ton of character. Bottle.

375ml clear gold ring of white head. Nose has green grape, buttery, dandelion, neutral wood. Flavor is grapey, green, lime, tight grain, woodsy. Savory herbs. Tiiiiiight in the mouth. Dry. Tart.

Brewery draught, 12/12/24. Clear deep honey. Little/no head. Applesauce, round white grape juice, rich malt and nutty, creamy wheat with low acid. Just a bit of tart lactic character and maybe an afterthought of Brett. Juicy, with big white wine and a cidery, almost sherry-like character. Dry, very much so. Is this a sherry barrel lambic or are these grapes just this unique? Whatever the case, it's weird in mostly a good way, with mild funk and juicy, round oak.
