500 mL bottle share by Clark. Aroma shows soy sauce, mild black bean, and burnt sugar. Flavor is just off. Black beans, soy sauce and a strange meat like hint. No barrel and be found here whatsoever. And they say it’s double barrel aged. Jeez, this is a train wreak!

Bottle pour shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Inky black with nice viscosity, no head or lacing. Aroma is strong dms--smells like Alpo. Taste is earthy, roasted malt, vague chocolate. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Smells like hell. Tastes OK.

375mL bottle, 2024, drunk 11/24/24. Clear, dark, no head. Smells like glue and other alcohol. Some dms. Some rich caramel and brown sugar. Sweet, sugary, lots of DMS. Big beans and light milk chocolate. No barrel. Or very little. Man, these guys make such great beer yet can't make a stout or barley wine to save their lives. So bizarre.
