Bottle pour from trade with AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Opaque, inky black with nice viscosity, no head, sparkle or lacing. Aroma is strong bittersweet coffee, vanilla (bordering on spiciness reminiscent of cinnamon), late bourbon. Taste is strong vanilla, bittersweet coffee, hint of chocolate, nice bourbon. Smooth texture, medium bodied, soft carbonation, finish as taste. No sign of alcohol but good balance of sweet and bitter and adjuncts with bourbon. Quality.

500 ml bottle, thanks to willrunforbeer on the share! Aroma has decent coffee, chocolate, vanilla. The flavor follows with a mild bourbon note in the finish. Bourbon cuts the sweetness without a doubt. My only complaint is the body seems a touch thin. Wish I could have sampled this on draft.

Brewery draught, 9/22/24. Undetermined clarity. Dark crimson tints. Thin ring of tan bubbles. Good mix of fruity, roasty, earthy coffee, rich vanilla and chocolatey malt. Bourbon apparent, with good tannin and rich whiskey character. Not over done. Not boozey. Soft, silky, rich and luxurious. Cherry-soaked bourbon and vanilla with long chocolate and cigar. Rich and with incredibly well-done barrel character. Excellent dryness too. No booze. Well this was stunning and a lot better than I expected! Excellent, excellent viscosity for its relatively small size. Bourbon is mellow yet apparent, not overdone.
