Canned 07/17/24, drunk 09/10/24. Clear blonde-brass. Medium-sized, white head, moderately-strong retention. Excellent mix of rustic grain and bright, elegant yeast. No unwanted phenols/esters. Mineral, spice, plaster, long, spicy, subtle hop....Just a beautiful, understated nose with gentle grains and a bit of nutty, lightly spicy rye. Soft, floral, nutty, crackery. Surprisingly not thin/too light given the rice. Definite strong hull/cracker character from the rice, but it's quite interesting. The mineral, ester, plaster and just all around soft fruitiness from the mellow yeast wins the day. Lemon peel melds with ester/phenol. Malty, dry, good depth, great attenuation. Been off Oxbow lately for no good reason and I regret it.
