Modern Pils is the perfect example of our value of “Tradition with a Twist”. Our brewers can develop interesting, complex, and flavorful beers by mixing traditional German lager brewing techniques such as decoction mashing and using Noble Hops with newer brewing techniques such as coolpooling. Try Modern Pils out to taste these 2 worlds colliding.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to lager glass.
Appearance: glossy yellow with a slight transparency about it and a three finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: light mixed citrusy to some peachy/apricot hop notes with a light honey malty sort of note
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a nice stone fruity to citrusy sweet and honey to biscuity maltiness; finishes citrusy to stone fruity sweet
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; good smoothness - nothing really distracting anywhere
Overall: so this is what a "modern pilsener" is supposed to taste, smell and feel like? Okay, noted, I get it and accept this.

Poured into a shaker glass from a can. Lovely clear golden colour, effervescent pour, large rocky head. Nose is sweet bread malt with noble hop aroma. Flavour is mostly the same, very refreshing beer

Brewery draught, 9/7/24. Clear bright flaxen-maize. Small, white head. Malty nose with honey-like notes and gently fruity hops with stone fruit and apple. Clean. In the mouth it's decidedly malty with gentle sweetness up front leading to fruity hops and surprisingly low bitterness (I guess that's the modern). A bit monotonous, but if you don't like noble hop character in a pilsner, this is well-done.

Richer mouthfeel than the noble breeze I just had. Slightly deeper gold. Bready with some florals, hint of basil some spiciness. . Chewy.
