Big boy bottle thanks to my bro. It pours like motor oil.... near black with a decent dark tan, almost brown head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, charred, burnt toast, heavy vanilla, milky coffee, definitely get that condensed milk vibes, bourbon, toffee, toffee crisp, umami and liquorice. The taste is slick, oily, bitter - sweet, sugary, milk sugar, warming booze, chocolate, vanilla cake frosting, coffee with condensed milk, marshmallow, some umami, chicory, heady bourbon vibes, dried fruits, fruit cake, wagon wheels and tunnocks teacakes with a slick, sweet finish. Fulsome body, average carbonation and slick mouth feel. A bit on the sweet side tbh, but decent anyhow.

Bottle (2023) pour from Valley Beverage, Sherman Oaks. Opaque, inky black with nice viscosity, no head or lacing. Aroma is initial green pepper, strong roasted coffee, bitterness (assumed from chicory), min nuts. Taste is strong roasted coffee, bourbon, bitterness. Smooth texture, medium body, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Well balanced and delicious.

2023 bottle shared by tfontana on 8/31/24. Clear, dark, rust-dark maple. No head. Looks syrupy. Heavy, heavy green bell pepper. Milky creamy sugar in the background. Hmmm, always tough to evaluate these when the bell pepper blots out everything. No booze, not too sweet, it seems. Actually the green pepper is burning off quickly. Leaving behind more bourbon. Oh wow, that's super well-done. Sweet, sticky, with just enough coffee and light earthy, nutty, lightly acidic chicory. Soft, syrupy, sweet for sure, with vanilla and bourbon throughout. Coffee not overdone but lightly present as a compliment. No sign of green pepper in the flavor. Not boozey. Rich, intense, sweet dessert sipper but delightful.

500 ml bottle shared by tfontana, thanks Tom! Big pimping on this one. Aroma is rich coffee, soft chicory, mild chocolate. The chicory gives a really great counterbalance to the coffee and condensed milk. Body is full with a thick texture. This is awesome!

Thanks Tom, coffee, vanilla, chocolate, bourbon. Chicory really adds a nice depth to this beer to take some of the sweetness away.

On tap at Bottle Logic, pours black with a tiny brown head. Aroma is full of coffee and bourbon barrels upfront, with plenty of dark sugars. Flavour is very rich, with lots of highly sweetened coffee, bourbon barrels, and dark sugar. On the sweet side even for Bottle Logic but there's enough depth surrounding the sugars to make this work in tiny amounts. Tasty.
