Rich with traditional malt flavors of chocolate, toffee, and bread crust, followed by bright yeast aromatics of banana, clove, and vanilla, this unfiltered and effervescent dark Weissbier is complemented by the caramelized and woody notes of maple syrup.

Can to weizen glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a two finger white to off-white foamy head, slow dissipation which left a little bit of lace
Aroma: some chocolate malts, bananas & cloves, some sweet wheat and a touch of bubblegum
Flavor: mild sweet balancing in the spicy esters with an ever so slight aftertaste of bananas, clove and chocolate
Texture: light to medium bodied, some sessionability but also seemed it could be a sipper too, banana/clove estery and chocolatey finish
Overall: yes sir, this is definitely a dunkelweizen and a very nice one I would love to have again. Wish more brewers would do this style.

Bright Side draught, 7/5/24. Clear medium amber, dark beige, fleeting head. Straightforward clove, sweet maple and black pepper. Light banana and nutty wheat. Clean. Very light, thin. Clovey spice and really lacking on the texture. Where's the chewy, substantial wheat? Low malt as well. Quite disappointing. Spicy, bitter, heavily phenolic finish.

Big pounder can for 3 bucks. Pour is quite dark brown with a really nice creamy tan head. Nose is a little odd & fishy maple. First taste is a somewhat too sweet for me, considering its a dunkelweisen. Initially I think it would have been better without the maple bullshit in there. After I get over the sweetness, I'm trying to focus on the beer. I like dunkelweisen but this aint floating my likeness boat. In the middle I'm getting a little smoke character hiding in the background. Yes, this whole thing is kindah weird for my basic beer tastes. Almost disappointing.

16 ounce can. Mahogany brown color. Frothy tan head. Toasted malt aroma has yeasty notes. Flavor is sweet, toasted malt with a hint of maple syrup. Added notes of banana and clove on the backend. Destined for Top 50 status.
