Robijnrood bier met stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is bitterzoet met iets van koffie, karamel, chocolade en wat vanille. Met een fruitig licht zure afdronk om het af te maken. Heel fijn bier.

330ml can. Opalescent, auburn colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, caramel malty and slightly chocolately, dark malty aroma, weak, grassy hoppy overtones, notes of dark caramel, malt lozenge. Taste is slightly bitter, grassy hoppy, sweet-ish, caramel malty and minimally chocolately, dark malty basis, hints of malt lozenge, dark caramel, a touch of toffee and burnt caramel, nutty undertones; mildly bitter finish with hoppy and burnt caramel bitterness. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Nice malty flavours, a tad too watery - pretty decent.

0.33 l can from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', best before December 2025. Clear, very dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, a bit fruity aroma of lots of caramel, toasted nuts, some chocolate and hints of raisins. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity taste of caramel, chocolate, toasted nuts, some raisins and light vanilla, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice Bock, although too chocolaty for my liking, I like it better if it's fruitier.
