Keg at Mill on the Exe, half pint. Stable, creamy, fawn-coloured head leaving spotty lacing down the glass. Jet black body. Dark dough nose with a chocolate touch. Roasted black malty flavours with impact of chocolate and dough. Prolonged ending. Creamy palate. Decent stout (Exeter pub crawl, 28.09.2016).

GBBF Day 2. Cask served through a sparkler! Murky dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth with modest fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts bring the promised dark chocolate and licorice. Smooth dry finish.

Creamy Irish stout with German black licorice which would do really well with coffee beans added and red wine barrels. Very clean.
