Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is dark malt with caramel, light roast and a pleasant fruity hoppy touch. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Well-made Brown Ale with a welcome hoppy bitterness.

Bottle at Leids Bierfestival, Leiden: Clear dark brown with an red glow with an sweet but bitter taste. Hints of caramel, roasted malts and some citrus.

(Draught at De Drie Dorstige Herten, Utrecht, 16 Feb 2023) Brownish red colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with caramel, coffee, resin and blood orange. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of caramel, coffee, chocolate, red berries, resin, citrus and a balanced resiny/citric bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, with a good hop presence. Nice one.

Clear deep amber colour, tall frothy beige head, good retention and lacing. Aroma roasted malt, caramel, light dark fruits, hint cocoa. Smooth taste, medium sweet and light bitter, malty, light roast, toffee, light dark fruits, some chocolate. Lingering roasty sweetbitter aftertaste, burnt caramel and spicy notes. Medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, smooth brown ale, very nice.

33cl Bottle at Bret. Brown colour, beige head. Aroma of resin, nice and hoppy, chocolate, some roast, tobacco, nuts. Flavour follows, floral and light resin, hoppy, chocolate, roast, tobacco, nuts, bitter finish, caramel. Light to medium bodied. Tasty.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Coop, Culemborg. Clear brown with an off-white head. lightly roasted malts with some coffee and some hops. Taste is medium bitter with a short bitter finish. Body is quite thin. Nice but not exciting.

Small sample @ The Amsterdam Beer Fest. Mostly clear brown color. Aroma's of caramel malt, some roast and hops. Flavor is light moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Light medium bodied. Firm bitter finish. Not bad.

Draft at The Amsterdam Beer Festival by Homeland. Hazy brown with a tan head. Aroma of malt, nutty notes, roast, caramel and hops behind. Flavour is moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
