Our IPA is one of the first and remaining traditional East India Pale Ales of its kind. Mahogany in colour, the blend of roasted malts and whole leaf hops combine to produce a rich, fully-bodied, 4.8%, classic strong ale with hints of chocolate, roasted coffee and orange zest.

Hand-pulled pint in The Nag's Head, Covent Garden on 8th Aug 2019. Decent enough, amber bodied with a slight red hue, white crown. Nice fruity nose and flavours, good balance between the hops and maltiness. Liked it.

Cask at Cowper Arms @ Digswell, Welwyn Garden City. Amber colour with reddish tinge, white foam head and malty earthy aroma. Taste is malt, caramel, fruity with some earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. OK

Cask (handpump) @ Nags Head, 10 James Street, Covent Garden, Greater London, England WC2E 8BT. [ As McMullen IPA ].Clear medium to dark red amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, pale malt, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, woody hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, pale malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160808] 6-3-6-3-12

Cask. Klares bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch mild karamellig, mild hopfig. Geschmack nussig malzig, karamellig, schwach hopfig.

Cask @ Fishery, Elstree. Deep amber with a creamy head. Has a heavy malty sweetness in its nose, with a malty bitterness in taste.

Cask @ Spice of Life, London. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and light hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. Watery. 270316

Cask. Clear amber color, small creamy off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly hops, decent malt bitterness. Average body and carbonation. Drinkable.
