A little disappointed with this but from the date that seems to be printed on the label indicates that it was bottled on late June of this year 2017 so it seems that the volatile hops are about cashed in. For Aroma I pick up the traditional Bavarian characteristics about of a hefe weizen but no hops. A nice appearance that is traditional with the medium Amber cloudy color and a thick creamy off white to white head and plenty of lace. Flavor is kind of odd with what's left over from the Hops seems to clash with the traditional Bavarian flavors where it almost seems kind of rancid. There is also a creaminess that is not entirely Pleasant. And finally there is a very long lasting bitterness into the Finish that also could have been better and is not traditional like the Bavarian slight sweetness or sweet tart.

Sampled at All Pints North 2017. Looks like a hefeweizen. Cloudy. Alcohol is noticeable in the aorma and the flavor, and I think it has pretty much ruined this beer. Typical weizen beer aroma and flavor are hidden by the high alcohol, making the beer seem thin and watery.

4 oz. sample at El Bait Shop, De Moines, Iowa. Aroma is estery, bubblegum, banana, wheat. Medium dry texture with lots of chewy yeast. Alcohol is not hidden at all and really disturbs the entire flavor profile. Lasting dry esters to bubblegum and banana hints. Black pepper hints.

I like the creative attempt but… easily my least favorite from this fine brewery. The high ABV throws the entire brew out of wack.

Bottle/Fest. A- Funky, lemon, dank. A- Orange color, clear liquid, white head. T- Spices, slightly funky, citrus. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, spiced finish. O- I nice surprise at the fest. Interesting take on the style no doubt. A fair amount of funk and some odd spices I can't quite place. Part of me really liked it and part of me didn't like it at all. Would love to revisit in the future.
