The 2020 harvest of raspberries in Denmark was much lower in acidity and higher in sugar than previous years. The resulting beer still showcases the amazing aromatic and flavor qualities of vintages past, but with a more balanced acid profile.
Clocking in at approximately 600 grams of raspberries per liter of beer, Rubus of Rose 2020 is bursting with the incredible raspberry flavor and aroma you have come to expect from previous iterations.

Tap at Baghaven. Deep ruby pour with a white head. Nose is intensee raspberry, some funk, light citric notes. Taste is a huge fruit kick upfront, it’s packed with raspberry, then it shows slightly leathery funky brett, vague malty notes, some citruses too. Light bodied with average carbonation.

Dark ruby body, with a quickly dissipating pink head. Aroma mainly of tart raspberry, some citrus, slight wood and straw. Tastes similar. Medium mouthfeel, with a lively carboantion. Finishes tart, quite acidic, a bit wooden, with raspberry, some apple, some funk. A bit underwhelming, too tart and not very complex. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 3 / 15

Bottle. (thanks Eirik) Hazy red with a small head. Sour with raspberries, mild oak, cherries and funk. A nice one.

Djupröd med ett litet rosa skum. Massor av sura hallon i doften. Även smaken handlar helt och hållet om sura hallon. Lite enkelspårigt och lite för surt mig.

75 cl bottle @ Jyrchi 2020 vintage Aroma has sour-ish berry juice, raspberries. Flavour has tart raspberry juice that turns into rowanberry-like tartness. Otherwise nice but the aftertaste is unpleasant-ish.
