Cask at Maltings, York. It pours deep brown with small beige head. The nose is roasted malt, fresh citrus, liquorice, tangy red berry and burnt toast. The taste is roasted malt, toast, earth, liquorice, chocolate, moderate bitterness and burnt caramel with a dry, roasted finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Flavoursome, well balanced and moreish.

Medium sweet flavor, well roasted malts, some minerals, bitter dark cocoa, some earthy bitterness, mild dark fruits. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately dry finish, nice roast, dark sugars, some ash, drying minerality, restrained bitterness, some raisins. Nice all around porter.
