This limited edition is really just a liquid stroopwafel in a can! Flavours of caramel, vanilla, cinnamon and chocolate are complemented by a complex malt combination of dark, crystal and caramel malts, giving the beer a full and luxurious flavour. Add a can or two to your packing list and thank yourself later. Cheers from Amsterdam!

23/XI/24 - 33cl can from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 12/VI/25, canned: 12/VI/24 (2024-1220)

Clear brown beer, big fizzy beige head, crackling down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: a bit roasted, caramel, butterscotch, toffee, malty, grains, no cinnamon? WTF? Stroopwafel is more than just caramel... MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of caramel, a hint of chocolate, fudge, butterscotch, a little bitter but mainly pretty sweet. Aftertaste: soft roast, some chocolate, a bit sweet, malty, more caramel, bitter touch, meh. More a caramel / butterscotch stout than a stroopwafel stout if you ask me…

0.33 l can from 'Bierloods22', canned in October 2024. Very dark ruby to black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted hazelnut and some vanilla. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter fairly roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, caramel, cinnamon, roasted hazelnut and vanilla, followed by a medium, fairly roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice for such relatively low abv, not as rich as at imperial level maybe but quite complex and saturating nevertheless.

Not as bad as you’d think, or as stroopfwaffely. Kinda just an ordinary sweet stout. But quite sweet. Ah ams
