23rd June 2018, shared bottle at the Cotteridge gathering. Golden orange peel in colour, billowing white head. I am not a sour beer fan really, so this didn't hit the heights it did for others. If sour fruit and white wine that is 'on the turn' and been got at by 'the vinegar fly' is your thing then this is the beer for you. Scored kindly!

Had this at the Ratebeer Tasting and Cotteridge Gathering, Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham, Saturday 23rd June 2018. Number seven and its a Reserva version of a favourite of mine and Loz's. Pours a hazy glowing gold/orange with a large white head, much like the beer before the pink number this also looks fab, a other top marks for the appearance I reckon. In the mouth it's dry, it's a little funky, the mouthfeel is good, nice carbonation. Good brettiness but all softened a little by the ageing. Very good, best of the day so far. A7 A5 T9 P4 Ov16 4.1

Very good, dense, stable, light-yellow head over clear copper beer. Fruity nose, barnyard, grapefruit, Brett, including floormop. Dry, lots of Bretts (floormop,...); finish has more bitterness. Bit of vanilla retronasal, as well as (moulded) lemonpeel. Fine, pearling, Champenoise carbonation, quite slick, refreshing in the end. The yeast makes it creamy. Tour de force majeure, but I miss the vinosity expected. 7/4/8/4/16

Amber with large beige head. Aroma is orval, some red wine, some white wine, apricot, slight belgian funk, cookie dough. Taste is dry tart and sour with some chalkiness. Sour and funky finish. Somehow a bad version of Orval.

Bottle. Unclear glowing golden color with white head. Aroma is phenolic, candy funk (not the bad kind), wood, earthy, apricots. Taste is funky, apricots, fresh yeast, earthy, bitter finish, a bit tannic. Silky mouthfeel with foamy carbonation. Very good, but not as Nuits-St-Georgy as I'd hoped for, and the flavour could be more intense. A bit disappointing after all.

Bottle at Dan's 10K, thanks to Colin. It pours cloudy orange with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, tart gooseberry, white grape, oak, dull vanilla and funk. The taste is dry, bitter, clean, green, grassy vibes, gooseberry, white grape, funky, oak, spice, chewy, leafy, musty and some bright citrus with a drying finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Well - rounded and chuggable. Tasty.
