6 October 2018. At Modeste Bierfestival, Antwerp. Cheers to Anke & Elke!
Hazy orange with a lasting, thin, slowly dissipating, frothy, white head; little lacing. Aroma of hay, straw, brett, unripe apricot, yellow apple, unripe mandarin, peach, bread, cheese. Taste is medium funky sour, hay & straw, and light fruity sweet, hints of apple & apricot, a bit cheesy with yeasty, bitter touches, spicy & peppery. Dry, peppery hoppy finish, spicy, bit tart, lingering yeast & unripe fruit. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Succesful BA funky Ale, but hey, I'm not a sucker for wine...

Flaska drucken på Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Massor av brett som kanske slagit ut mycket av grundölets fina kraktär och gör den lite enkelspårig. Men men ändå riktigt gott om man gillar brett.

Swietne, mega udane wytrawno-kwaskowe piwo. Jasno bursztynowa lub ciemno zlota barwa, piana spora, srednio trwala. Brety wyraznie szaleja tu niesamowicie, w smaku owoce winogrona ale jakos bardziej te jasne, rodzynki sultanskie, spora jest tu naprawde wytrawnosc, goryczka i dzikosc, mocno pozostaje to na podniebieniu. Doszukalem sie nieco skory, mokrego siana i drewna.

Bottle shared at Kim Yong Un buurtcentrum. Hazy orange golden with fluffy cream colored head. Lots of Bretty notes with sweaty socks, pineapple and cow dung. Soft lemon balm, white wine, grapefruit, light creamy malts, orange peel, soft dank hops and hay. Just medium sweet and bitter, very soft tart. Medium bodied with soft but present carbonation. Maybe too sweaty but pretty enjoyable.

Bottle. Funky, vinous, hoppy and tart, only slightly sweet, with a dry and bitter aftertaste. Everything in perfect balance. Notes of citrus, herbs and wood. Somewhat reminds me of Orval or a dry hopped lambic.

23rd June 2018, shared bottle at the Cotteridge gathering. Golden orange peel in colour, billowing white head. I am not a sour beer fan really, so this didn't hit the heights it did for others. If sour fruit and white wine that is 'on the turn' and been got at by 'the vinegar fly' is your thing then this is the beer for you. Scored kindly!
