As stated below by Grumbo. This was clearly not right on the day and should not have been made available. From the other reviews this is clearly not a fair reflection on the overall product

20/8/2025. Cask at the 46th Peterborough Beer Festival. Cask said try first. Good pour. Gun cap stink bomb aroma. Cheesy. Rank. Not drinkable. Clearly not right. Festival really shouldn’t have put this on, not just say try first.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 18th August 2024. Deep an intense sepia brown with pale tan foam and spot lacing. Coffee roast malt aroma with chocolate. Sour notes, smokes and roastiness in-mouth, and a neutral roasty finish. More a porter than a stout. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a reddish hue. The aroma is roasted malt, chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liqourice bitter, with a smooth, slightly watery, light, earthy chocolate, light liqourice bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask @ North Westward Ho, Manchester. Not quite black, but enough to look like a stout. Fair roasted notes, some sweetness, certainly not stated but certainly flavoursome nevertheless.
