(Cask at Craft Beer Co The Bear, Paddington, London, 8 May 2024) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with vanilla, toffee, caramel, chocolate and cinnamon. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, cacao, cinnamon, vanilla, toffee and a balanced cacao bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Chocolatey, caramelly and tasty. Not quite as sweet as feared. Nice one.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 20th April 2024. Almost impenetrably black with tan foam and spot lacing. Chocolate aroma. Coffee and novelty Christmas decoration chocolate in-mouth and a finish of chocolate, coffee and Ovaltine. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Deep, dark brown, near black with a frothy/creamy tan head and a lovely chocolate caramel aroma. Some bitterness up front, chocolate and coffee and roasted malt ahead of a dry finish
