(Cask at Craft Beer Covent Garden, London, 15 Nov 2023) Reddish amber colour with foamy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, dried fruit, blackberries and dark bread. Malty taste with caramel, blackberries, dried fruit, chocolate, dark fruit and a mild citric/spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Interesting, a bit different, but really tatsy. Very nice.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 4th November 2023. Deep brownish copper with shallow pale tan foam and full lacing. Intense maltiness in aroma. Sweet toffee malt in-mouth and a finish of maltiness, overripe fruits and barleysugar. Full bodied with an engaging texture.

On cask at Euston Tap, pours a clear dark copper amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice toasted bready malt character, with wood English hops, and a touch of resins. Flavour has a nice fresh woody hop character upfront, with a toasted bready malt base. Very smooth, nicely hopped, and nicely malty too. Very good.
