Cask at the Olde Trout, Southend on 21st December 2022. Almost impenetrably black with tan foam and spot lacing. Coffee and chocolate roasty aroma. Orange zest and dark chocolate in-mouth and a finish of bitter chocolate, wholebean coffee and orange peel. Full bodied with a smooth but chunky mouthfeel.

[Cask at the Alehouse, Reading.] A glossy black pour with a thin beige head; aroma of orange oil; silky in the mouth with a deep earthy bitterness and orange oil taste; then a drier finish with milky chocolate and lingering bitter orange. Very good.
