Cask at CPK, Pimlico on 17th April 2021. Deep sepia with loose, pale tan foam and spot lacing. Rich roasty aroma. Rich and intense roast maltiness in-mouth with hints of smoke citrus and a suggestion of cherry fruits. Bitter roasty finish. Full bodied with an engaging texture. The attributes of eight, four, nine, four and nineteen are not mistakes or input errors. Absolutely exquisite.

Cask handpull at the grill. It pours jet black with a thick, fluffy light tan head. The aroma is bright citrus fruits upfront, zingy, tangy, lemon - lime, earthy roasted, charred, cacao nibs and coffee grounds. The taste is firmly dry with a lingering bitterness, charred and toothy, spicy, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, resinous, some greenness, tangy citrus, grapefruit, peppery spice, chewy, coffee and pipe tobacco with a drying, bitter charred finish. Medium body and fluffy carbonation. Amazing condition.
