Cask at CBC Covent Garden - London. Pours lightly hazy pale gold with a lasting white froth head. Nice juicy citrus aroma, some grains, straw, lemon rind. Light sweet flavor with dirty hay bitterness, dry pale bread, grapefruit, some grass, tangerine. Light bodied with fine carbonation; great condition. Very well balanced on the finish with further tangerine, bitter citrus rind, grass and hay. Highly sessionable stuff. Solid.

Cask ale at the Sportsman in Huddersfield. Crystal clear golden coloured body. Remaining pearl white head. Grainy malts and grassy hops on the nose. Malt-fruity flavours with details of dusty hops, mild citrus and bread-like malts. Nice bitter round off. Has got its moments of good beer drinking. (09.07.2014).

Cask @ The Black Heart, Camden. Pours clear amber with thin foamy head. Easy-going pale with mellow fruits and a soft bitterness. Not getting much hops, but still a nice enough thirstquencher.

Cask @ Engineers Arms, Henlow. Slightly hazy amber/gold with a thin white head. Aroma is sharp grapefruit with an accompanying slight mustiness. The intensity of the initial bitterness gives way to something more sour: unsweetened citrus mixed with human sweat. Sour/bitter finish. An odd little beer that rates higher on originality than pure hedonics.

Cask (Town Wall, Newcastle) - Amber in colour. Peach, melon and grapefruit in the aroma. Toffee, peach and grapefruit can be detected in the fairly hoppy taste.

Earl Of Essex. Cask. Bright clear pale gold beer, small white head. Palate is smooth and light with light fine carbonation. Smooth malt. mild sweetness. Very nice mellow hop combo here - we have pine, grass, light tangerine marmalade. Finishes minty - pine with a trace of tropical fruits. Really rather good.
