Single can from HyVee Ankeny, stamped 6/24/22. The familiar creamy and chocolately smell of a milk stout right under the tab. Pours brownish-black with a sudsy, ecru head. Taste has a pretty filling mouthfeel of malt, with some roastiness, of course. Palate is a little less creamy than a milk stout, perhaps, but I get a note of Guinness sour. Some of this bitterness could be coming from the added roast coffee. That's not always east to separate from a stout roast malt. Leaves some sticky malt on my lip. Alcohol remains in the background and seems to have no inclination to sneak up on me.

4 oz. sample at El Bait Shop, De Moines, Iowa. Deep black in color. Aroma is bold coffee, roast, mild milk sugar. The flavor is lots of lingering cold brew coffee, chocolate, deeper roast.

Creamy and smooth with decent body. Flavorful sweet stout.
