A Macchiato Porter using Takk NorthProjekt v.7 coffee and a dash of lactose. The espresso profile beans lend a subtle hit of sweet caramel and honeydew on the nose whilst adding a rich depth to the complex cacao malt base. This is a farewell brew from a long serving brewer, Jonny Read, ahead of his move to Sweden.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 7th May 2017. Black with disappearing pale tan foam and almost no lacing. Roast coffee and toasty malt aroma. Rich roast malt, coffee and hint of plum fruitiness in-mouth. A touch of spice. Fruity, slightly spicy and roasty finish. A fair amount of body and an engaging texture.

Cask @ 57 Thomas Street, Manchester. Brown with a small creamy off-white head. Has some tangy coffee notes which are better in its aroma than taste.

On tap at Marble, Manchester, Thursday 30th March 2017 Pours light mahogany, reddy glints, bags of coffee, and yet a little juicy also. Nice coffee flavours in mouth also, this is a good beer. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov16 3.6
