Can from the LCBO. Dark copper pour, with a medium white head. Aroma is lots of caramel, and pine resins. Some soft citrus, and spice follow it up. Mouth feel is full, carb is soft, but standard. Finish is semi sweet, more pine, light citrus, with a big malty, caramel notes. This is an old school DIPA. 10 years ago this would have been a WOW! in Ontario, today its a MEH!

Can 7 months old. Nose shows pineapple that settles on a solid dry hop with full resin, all on a malty biscuit base. A good-sized, dense foam covers the amber and slightly veiled liquid. The foam holds up very well. The malted base is present and is accompanied by a good heat of alcohol. The sugars have grown over time and show notes of caramel, biscuit and grain. The hops did not deteriorate but faded considerably. We still denote a rather tropical fruitiness, notes of pineapple and a finish with attenuated bitterness but which still lets pass notes of pine and resin. The body is ample, the texture silky and effervescence very lively. Despite the unlikely ageing of 7 months, I had no problem drinking it. I just missed the intensity and complexity of the hops.

Pours a clean amber colour with golden highlights. The head is huge, fluffy, lightly-creamy, long retention and nice creamy-foamy lacing patches. Hoppy nose with some sweetness, citrus notes, hints of cilantro and honey. A good bitter mouthfeel with dryness. Starts getting a little hazy at second pour. Leafy taste of hops, well balanced though. Not too crazy sweet, but a slight rich which is fine here. Warms up a tad, goes down nicely.

Can from the LCBO. Clear dark copper with a one finger cream coloured head that lingers and leaves some patchy lace. Nose is caramel, light citrus, pine and some bread. Light+ caramel sweetness with a medium+ pine bitterness. Mouth is full- and sticky with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. OK but not exciting. 7+/3+/7/3+/15
