Can. Clear, pale copper pour, with a small off white head.. Aroma is very woody, light vanila and sweet, oaky rye. Mouth feel and carb are both quite soft. Finish is lightly bitter, earthy and sweet. Oaky, light roast, loads of rye barrel notes without the alcohol. It's odd, but not unpleasant, but weirdly not pleasant either.

This rye ale poured a deep dark amber colour with a creamy off white head. Nice lacing. Scents include must, caramel, wax, honey and vanilla. First swig was quite sweet with flavours of must, smoke, vanilla and pipe tobacco. Finish is lightly smokey with sweeter malty flavours lingering.

Can: Aroma of clear brown color ale with a medium size off-white foamy head with light retention and not much lacing. Aroma of fake vanilla notes, residual sugar notes and strong butterscotch notes. Taste is also a mix of fake vanilla notes with some strong butterscotch notes with lots of residual sugar notes and some rye barrel notes. Body is light with OK carbonation.Too sweet with too much butterscotch and vanilla extract notes.

Pours a slight hazed golden-amber colour with a fizzy off-white head that does not stay long, with no lacing. Very whiskey rye aromas with some butterscotch notes, vanilla and something that is quite spicy, but piercing, so not in a good way. Kind of medicinal, from weird hops. The taste is sweet on the butterscotch side with the wood nicely blended in and some hints of smoke. A little too rich overall, but a decent rye and oak wood infused brew. A nice try, but must balance things more - and get rid of this sharp smell.

Can from the LCBO. Hazy deep amber under a small quick fading off white head.Nose has lots of wood and whiskey with vanilla, caramel and honey. Light+ sweet honey under a light grassy bitterness and a middle with lots of wood, spice and a touch of smoke. Mouth is a little thin with very soft carbonation and a shorty woody finish. Nice balance but would be better with improved carbonation. 8/3/7/3-/14-
