Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Pigs Ear 2018. Pours mostly clear copper-orange with a billowing, frothy off-white head. So so, a little bit metallic, has some harsh grassy bitterness, citrus peel, a bit of chlorine perhaps. Light bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Finishes with more grassy bitterness, astringency, pine needles, citrus peel, drying minerality. Not great overall.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Clear amber beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Nice condition. Smooth light malts, nice light level of sweetness. Nicely integrated blackberry and orange peel. Mild floral flavour and red fruits. Pinch of spice. Not very saison like, but that is not a bad thing.
