Bottle. Pours with a brown body and a two finger head. Aromas are leather and toffee with a bit of a nutty direction. Flavor was pleasant enough, but kind of weak. Had that nice tangy bock flavor and a toffee body. OK, but I would say I’ve had better (and fuller-bodied) bocks.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark red-brown color with a medium sized dark tan head. The aroma was sour, tangy and nutty with hints of fruit and sweet caramel. The flavor was yeasty, sour and tangy. Rather richly malty with notes of caramel, raisin and other ripe fruits. Very nice!

bottle - Pours amber with a one finger head and a rich caramel malt aroma. The flavor is sweet malt with minimal hops. It’s simple, a little thin, but fairly good. It was also on sale for four bucks for a six pack and it’s pretty good for a cheap beer.

This is a disappointment. Sweet aroma and sweet flavor but everything seems off; there is little "bock" quality to this beer. Looks good with a dark red color.

Pour is a bright red with a white head. Aroma is roasted malts. Flavor is caramel malts but its a bit thin. I don’t really get the bock style but you could drink a few of these and they would not offend but on the other hand they would not make you jump for joy.

Bottled, Dated for Spring 2003. Thin head that disappears quickly over a ruby to brown body. Pleasant honey and malt aroma. The taste is a tad sugary for me, though. It does bring out a nice dark malt character, with German hops in good balance.

Caramel red-brown color, light khaki head. Notable toffee caramel candy aroma and some light caramel flavors. Perhaps overly bitter finish? Lacking Munich malt melanoidins, overly caramel malted. A bit too spritzy...as in carbonated.
