A hazed reddish copper ale with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, loads of currant, dark fruits, plums, figs, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with figs, dark fruits, molasses, alcohol warmth, very nice and complex. On tap at Brother’s Beer Bistro.

Tasting at Matt’s
Dark brown color, medium beige head. Smells like stale water; fruity? Maybe. Vanilla aroma too. Dusty malts, moderate sweetness, and fruity acidity.
Unpleasant.

Amber-brown, little bit of haze. Light curranty nose, with a basic phenol character. There’s a fruity accent, a touch of sweet malts, and a hit of fudgey chocolate malt. Ok, but only because the fruit jumps up.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma is fairly tart, with berry fruits, light yeast and a little sweetness. Flavour is tart and fruity, with berries, medium tartness and light sweetness. Not sure what the hell this was supposed to be. No good.

Bottle: Poured a clear light brown color ale with a large off-white foamy had with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of cereal notes with light fruity undertones is OK. Taste is a mix of cereal notes with some light fruity notes and some light residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Currant are a lot more subdued then I had expected but pleasant beer nonetheless.

Bottle from the brewery. Cloudy deep orange copper with a small tan head. Nose is prominent red fruit with some yeast and candy. Moderate fruity sweetness which is offset by a nice tartness. Mouth is medium+ and oily with a lingering tartness and slightly soft carbonation. 8-/3+/7/4-/14
