On tap at the brewpub. Clear brown pour, very small white head. A very light aroma of sweet malts, and a slightly bitter nuttiness. Watery mouth feel, incredibly light. At this low an alcohol level i think this should be in the mild category. Its not terrible, but very bland and boring.

Can thanks to Kristian, shared at Taphouse, Copenhagen (20/02/2020) - amber brown with a beige head. Toasted and sweet malty with some caramel and toffee notes, some cereal, subdued twiggy hoppy backing, medium body, toasted and sweet malty finish.

A reddish brown ale with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, sweet nutty caramel malt with light grassy hops, herbaceous character, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, sweet nutty caramel malt with light peated notes, light grassy hops, light mineral notes, OK.

Bottle from the brewery. Hazy deep mahogany pour with a tiny tan head that fades quickly. Lots of toffee and and roast with cherry, plum and some vanilla evident. Lightly sweet throughout with a light bitterness as well and quite a bit of dark fruit. Well balanced. Mouth is medium light and slick with soft carbonation. Nice, but like other Barnstormer bottles I’ve tried, it’s a bit thinner than expected for the style.
