Hazy orange pour, small beige head. Upfront white pepper aroma, yeast, and grassy hay. Thin mouth feel, low carb. Peppery finish, touches of wood, but really the barrel isnt doing much. An overall nice saison, and i find the white pepper is really enhancing the beer. Im diggin it....

Beautiful bottles with the full paper wrap around it and tag. After pouring, the foam inside the bottle continues to rise, and out of the bottle... for quite a while. The head stays still though. Big, foamy, soapy with some fluffy lace. Hazy golden colour with tiny bubble carbonation. Fruity malt nose, citrus mostly with the Belgian Ale yeast softness, vanilla and some light grass. The pepper is hard to find, but a little more in the taste. Again, the same yeast and citrus notes. Don’t feel much of the Red Ice Wine barrel aging, but goes down nicely as alcohol is very well-blended. Lots of hops in the aftertaste, lingering with a dry bitterness. Expecting a little more though.

Bottle: Poured a light golden color ale with a very generous white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of white pepper with rustic malt notes is very enticing if maybe for the white pepper that is tad too strong. Taste is also dominated by rustic malt with some residual sugars and white peppers notes that are quite dominant. The iced red wine barrel treatment was very hard if impossible to distinguish. Body is about average for style with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Drop the barrel-aging and the accompanying price and you would have a winner.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a slightly hazy light orange with a huge off white head. Nose is yeast, spice with pepper dominant and some grape notes. Spicy throughout with some sweet and sour grape. Medium palate with average carbonation and a long dry finish. Was worried about the level of pepper but it is actually well balanced.
