Hazy dark straw pour, with a hige billoughy beige head. Earthy, and slightly tart ginger, and herbal aroma, but no barrel at all, perhaps it added to the earthiness. The mouth feel is perfect, and the carb is a tad over the top. Strong herbal finish, more earthy ginger and a green hop medium bitterness. Interesting brew, but im getting next to nothing when it comes to the rum barrel, but its still pretty good.

Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a huge creamy off-white cap, very long lasting with thick foamy lacing. Aromas are sour with the rum notes in the background. And in the back of this... is the very light ginger. Even soapy hops are almost as present. Did not taste the ginger at first, but as you get into it, it does appear, and the beer gets cloudier. Refreshing, interesting and not the typical ginger beer we are use to. Just not sure if the little sourness is infection or not, as I have never had a bad beer from this great brewery.

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of ginger with light caramel malt notes is interesting. Taste is mostly dominated by spicy ginger notes offset by lightly sweet caramel malt notes. The rum barrel-aging notes are very hard to detect and you have to wonder if the beer spent enough time in the barrel. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Nice ginger touch for this beer but not worth the price tag.

A lightly hazed golden ale with a thick lacing light mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light ginger, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light ginger, light oxidation, OK.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a light hazy orange with a massive yellowish head. Lots of ginger in the nose along with pepper, lemon and some malty caramel. Decent sweet malt backbone but the ginger is dominant though not overpowering. Balanced with lemon and toffee. Moderate mouth with active carbonation and a dry finish. Quite enjoyable.
