Pretty decent. Continues the beaus tradition of doing average styles of beer pretty well. The reason this comes around is mostly due to a great barley malt profile. It mingles well with the pepper aroma and a light bit of booze. Pours cloudy orange with decent head and lacing. Finishes crisp and a little bitter with sweet boozy malt appropriate to style. Well done. Tap at Arrow and Loon.

Bottle: Poured a light amber color bock with a large foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of unrefined grain and light residual sugar is not the best. Taste is also dominated by unrefined grain with light cereal notes, some dry caramel and a dry finish. Body is light for style with good carbonation. Not sure why I bought this in the first place and not sure I would bother drinking this again.

Thanks to PaleAleRider for this one. Pours a slight hazy deep golden colour with a nice frothy warm head that is long lasting and creates thick foamy lace. Malty cereal grain nose with fruit and vinegar notes. Smooth medium-thick mouthfeel with some mild dryness and a bit of alcohol, but no burning. The taste reminds of me of malt liquor, but of much better quality. Good sweet malt in the finish all well-balanced with the hop, and hints of fruits. A pretty good, high quality, malt liquor.

A hazed amber bock with a thin white head. In aroma, mix of lemon pulp and honey with nice grassy hops. In mouth, a nice smooth grassy malt with Belgian hops, honey, wheat, nice. Cask at Beau’s Oktoberfest Sept 29 2012.
