Bottle from Homebrew Bottle Shop, Oxton in Birkenhead. Appearance - dark brown to black and very dark. Thin head. Nose - raspberry and light chocolate. Fairly tart. Taste - creamy chocolate and we'll integrated raspberry. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Dry balanced finish. Overall - the nose was overwhelming raspberry. The taste had much more balance.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty, chocolately dark malty and fruity aroma, earthy notes of raspberry. Taste is sweet and roasty dark malty, chocolately, intensely fruity, earthy notes of raspberry. Intensely fruity, not too sweet, very nice.

Shared bottle at RB/HD at Bjørnøy 26.01.18. Dark mahogany. Pale brown head and lacing. Aroma of raspberry juice. Similar taste of wild raspberries and sour raspberry juice. And some medium roasted malt. Bitterness reminiscent of rotting fruit.

Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Small beige head. Aroma of over-ripe raspberries, chocolate and lactose. Roast malts and over-ripe raspberries in the slightly sourish flavour, some chocolate, roasty finish with some bittering hops. Okay, but did not blow my socks off.

Creamy beige head stayed on a very dark brown slightly effervescent body. Big aroma of raspberry & malt. Medium bodied thinning to the back, sharp on the palate & a clean back. Overriding taste of raspberry with malt, cocoa & dark sugar. Quite good but one's enough

almost clear brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth, semi dry and has reasonable carbonation. Smooth brown malts, a little Earthy. Light raspberry jam. Dry finish. Inoffensive, but I was left with a strong feeling of 'so what?'
