Burk stor ölprovning til cigarr och Monika Hörberg. Ölen doftar portvin och madeira. Lovande start. Tar en fet klunk och känner då först madeira samt vitt vin och lite choklad. Efter tre fyra sekunder kommer lite torrare ek ocv wirre in. Inte bourbon smak tyvär utan lite kärvare wirre. Ok barely wine

Burk på Krokius. Mmm Barrel aged doftar finfint av fatlagring. Smaken ger en krämig känsla med go whiskyfatlagringssmak. Karamell o lite vanilj ligger där.
Lite torr i eftersmaken men sötman finns där o det blir tillsamman lakritssmak. Go barley wine. Frontaal levererar!

aroma is very malty, slightly toasted malty, more nutty malty, only very very faint roasted malty. a good dose of wood but all of it blends well into the overall aroma, also some booze but that too blends in really well and is almost not noticed except it adds depth and complexity while maintaining balance. awesome barley wine aroma. flavor is malty, very very faint fruity notes (vanilla banana??) a boozy peppery tinge, faint woody notes just accentuating the malts. A really well balanced barleywine that retains it's brutalness (10.5%) but does so without ever feeling boozy or stingy or overly agressive. The barrels have rounded the barleywine perfectly.

Donker robijnrood bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is zoet en kruidig met iets van pruimen, wat karamel, rozijnen en cognac. Heel goed.

0.33 l can from 'Rebelbeercans', canned in June 2024. Hazy, very dark ruby with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Intensely sweetish-malty, quite fruity, slightly boozy aroma of molasses, caramel, raisins, whisky, vanilla and some orange. Fairly sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather fruity, slightly boozy taste of molasses, caramel, chocolate, raisins, whisky, vanilla and some orange, followed by a long, moderately bitter, slightly boozy finish. Full body, very smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Truly awesome.

330 ml can. Pours a dark reddish brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of toffee and caramel, candied oranges, brandy, oak, and bready malts. Flavors follow same with emphasis on the orange brandy and sweet malts. Warm sticky finish. Not getting much whiskey barrel, but who cares, this is great.
