Cask at Christian Firtal. Slightly hazy golden with a lasting white head. Amazing fruity hoppy aroma with peach, orange and tangerine, a herbal touch and some fine light malt. Fruity flavour with grassy notes, bready and fresh grain malt and that Crouch Vale house character that just hits all the right spots with me. Thank you CV for exporting to Denmark. The tastiest way is Essex

Colchester Beer Festival at the Colchester Arts Centre. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and smooth with decent fine carbonation. Smooth mildly sweet pale malts. Good hoppy fruits - little orange peel along with sweeter generic fruits. A floral accent comes in before a light finish. Tasty and very drinkable.

Cask@Charlies Bar, Copenhagen - golden pour with white head. Aroma and taste is citrus fruity aroma and taste, some grassy hoppy goodness, light floral, prominent lemon nuances, crisp pale malts, refreshing and highly quaffable brew, what’s not to like. Great condition. Lovely.

(Cask at Market Porter, Southwark, London, 10 Aug 2008) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, floral nose with citrussy hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of orange, apricots and citrussy hops in the finish. Balanced sweetness, generous bitterness. Nice beer in the usual Crouch Vale vein.

Cask-conditioned at The Wenlock, 1/8/08. Amber coloured with a decent white head. Hoppy aroma with plenty of oranges, apricots and grass. Flavour started with some fruity malt followed by citrus and a long juicy hop finish. Excellent.
