Large PET bottle picked up in Plzeń and consumed Saturday 11th October 2025 in the company of Dad, Pauline, Scott, Mand' and Oscar. Pours warm gold/orange with a fast disappearing frothy white head. On the nose there's a little mix of light malt, warm hay, a little bit of spice. Taste following a similar trajectory. Easy drinking, nice beer.

Poor glass choice by me - was thinking of Pils not Czech lager.
Large creamy off white head left a froth on finely carbonated unclear amber coloured body.
Malt & crackers aroma.
Medium bodied, foamy sparkling & sharp on the back with a cloying aft.
Digestive biscuits, bready, tea & berry tastes with lightly hopped long bitter finish.
Excellent Lager.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Deep golden body with a faint haze and thick off-white head. Fine carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of straw and buttered bread. Flavour of earth and biscuit. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A nice buttery lager.

Bottle next door, from HOTM, 27/10/24. Hazed deep orange to amber topped with a lasting frothy white head. Nose is stewed fruits, grass, herb, toffee. Taste comprises toffee, malt forward, brown bread, grains, hedgerow. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent.

1l PETka. Unclear amber with a small foamy head. Buttery, resinous, caramel, lemon zest, slightly metallic, vanilla, grassy. Hoppy zesty metallic bitterness, malty grainy buttery sweetness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry hoppy zesty metallic grainy bitterswwet finish. A rather crisp bitter and tasty Czech Pilsner!

Label says svetly lezak but this looks and tastes like a polotmavy. Pours mid amber, quite hazy, maybe even slightly murky. Mid sized or a tad below mid sized white head, good enough retention, nice lacing. A not too bright, slightly subdued aroma: caramel with hints of honey, a hint of citric fruitiness among a quite vivid floral hoppiness (still in the background with sweet maltiness taking the main stage). More balance and vividness in taste: Sweet caramel malts, perhaps the slightest hint of nuttiness, a hint of citric freshness in the mouth, a pretty strong, dry floral finish and aftertaste, with a good dose of bitterness to it. Quite good taste intensity, not bad at all tastewise but slightly messy/unclean. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation, perhaps a tad denser than usual for a 5%abv lager. Still quite enjoyable, but far from convincing.

Barva tmave zlatava, mirne zakalena. Pena nizka ale drzi vrstvicka. Vune sladova. Chut sladova, chlebova, nejaky ovoce ci co, bylinky. Konec suchy, trocha maslicka. Horkost vyssi stredni. Plnost vyssi stredni. Vyzivny lezak

Can. HOTM online. Light haze on a medium gold. Slim semi lacing just off white foam. Very malty with notes of caramel biscuit. Sugar coated cereal. Sweet tea loaf. Hops come across spicy herbal and leafy. Loads of flavour with biscotti like sweetness up front and herbal spicy bitterness balanced up well. Big mouthfeel with foamy carbonation. Super bitter finish. Wow. Tasty gear this.

# 4062; 1/2024. Malty, caramel, bready aroma. Murky amber body; persistent off-white head. Malty, yeasty, caramel, herbal. Good bohemian pilsner, too caramely for the style. 1 l, plastic bottle, supermarket (Albert Šantovka), Olomouc, Moravia, CZ.
