The Romans have a reputation of being master craftsmen and we’ve followed that fine tradition, pouring our heart and soul – cor et anima – into every drop of this rich Milk Stout.

The addition of sweet and creamy lactose luxuriously balances the roasted malt flavours, whilst a gentle nose of hops adds depth.

Bottle from the Water Witch, Lancaster. Dark brown with a purplish hint. Chocolate, blackberry and a metallic touch to the aroma. Sweet taste with a touch of fruity hop in the finish. Liquorice in the aftertaste. Very heavily carbonated. A tasty milk stout.

Cask @ Mr Foleys, Leeds. Practically black with a small creamy off-white head. Lightly sweetened, it is somewhat milky, but blandish with its roasted malts.
