0.25 l bottle from 'Craft Bier Bude', 2024 vintage, bottle #266. Clear, deep ruby with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of molasses, caramel, vanilla and raisins. Very sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity taste of molasses, vanilla, raisins, dark honey and some prunes, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, minimally boozy finish. Full body, smooth and oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Rich but well-balanced and sophisticated brew, very tasty.

250ml bottle, #7077. Clear dark amber, small beige head. Aroma of dried fruits, caramel, toffee. Taste is sweet, malty, malt loaf, raisins, dried fruits, prunes, figs etc. caramel, slightly oaky and spicy, warming. Lovely mouthfeel. Grew on me, but finish seemed slightly harsh, an odd bitterness there, otherwise really nice but I do wonder if it was much better in the past to deserve being called "iconic".

Clear, dark amber with a thin off white head. Sweet, boozy, fruity aroma. Flavour has caramel, fruit, some woody notes from the oak aging, a toastiness to this with some warming spice and a lasting boozy warmth too. Sweet, warm, rich and delicious.

#00186. Mørk amber. Klar. Filmskum. Eikearoma. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken rosin, mere eik og antydning til sherry. Søt & lett tørr avslutning. Hint av honning.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours slightly hazy deep red - brown with a bubbly off - white head. The aroma is rich and unctuous, oily, toothy, dry oak, sappy, resin, old leather sofa, stollen, dried fruits, glace cherry, raisin, sultana, toasted fruit cake, brown sugar, toffee, malt loaf and jammy vibes. The taste is slick, oily, toothy, chewy, rather jammy, plenty of dried fruits, firmly dry glace cherry, fig, sultana, raisin, prune, date, fruit cake, date scone, warning booze, dry oak, bitter toffee, toasted brown sugars, brown bread, touch of tannin and warming booze with a drying oak finish. Fulsome body, light carbonation and slightly oily mouth feel. Rich and unctuous, oily and rich. Fun stuff.
