Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from a bottle shop a few years ago. Perhaps not surprisingly, this one gushed. Pours mostly clear deep orange-gold with a foamy white head that dies out quickly. Pleasant smokey notes in the aroma. Interesting flavour, moderately sweet, with rich smokey character, some ham, lightly toasted bread, nips of citrus fruit. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Subtly tangy in the finish, lightly drying, some more smoke, campfire, bread. Novel.

Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and dry and has a fine minerally crispness. Light lager malts. Light and tangy Lapsang floral smoke. Light but spritzy lemony citrus. Very mild bitterness in the crisp finish. Tea lagers! Who knew?!
