The vatted porter was pretty good and this is too, but the blending with Export Stout makes it slightly less balanced. Just a bit too sour for me.

250ml draught, outside at Cafe Sara. Almost black in the glass, fawn-coloured head slowly diminishing. Aromas of oak, earth and chocolate, inviting. Rather unbalanced taste profile of chocolate malts and oak added by tart, dark fruits. Prolonged ending. Okay, but really not my kind of stout. (Oslo, 14.08.2025).

330 ml bottle from HoTM. Pours near black with loose tan foam. Aroma: light tart, vinous, funk, cocoa powder, mild coffee, liquorice, prunes, oak. Taste: Whoa. Lots going on. Tart, vinous/balsamic, brett funk, sour streak. Dry finish. Fab! Medium body with soft carbonation.

(Draft at Mother Kelly's Bethnal Green, London, 30 May 2025) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted, fruity nose with coffee, dark chocolate, oak wood and a touch of vinegar. Malty, roasted, fruity, tart taste with notes of coffee, chocolate, oak wood, red berries, sour cherries, vinegar and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a touch of sweetness. Lots of things going on here: coffee, chocolate, oak wood, sour fruit and vinegar. Very nice.

Bottle via the online shop. Nearly black. Fulsome. Beautiful swede. Bitter coffee bean and bitter chocolate. Big vinous notes. Whiff of balsamic. Super tasty drinking under the ABV. Twang as you like finish. Solid.

Keg at the tap. Inky cola brown. Foamy beige head. Aroma is vinous and malty. Sour. Vinous. Vinegary. A fruity streak in there too. Light-medium bodied. Slick to creamy. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Yes.
